Arizona Impalas First Annual All Chevy Show -- April 6, 2002 Despite an early morning thunderstorm that had everybody bringing out their chamois and towels, Arizona Impalas’ first-ever car show was a great success. We had 52 cars registered thanks to members distributing flyers at other car shows, plus two announcements in the Arizona Republic. Special thanks go out to the Desert Classics Chevys (Tri-Fives) and Desert Kustoms Car Club for supporting our show. We also want to thank Impala Bob's for providing the venue (and the hot dogs) and Dan Gilbert, for providing the tunes and doing a great job as the show DJ. Finally, thanks to all the members for helping our before and during the show. Member car’s in the show were Daryl Wimer’s ‘58 Impala, John Sahid’s ‘62 Impala SS, Karl and Cindy Becker’s ‘64 Impala SS, Mel Cofman’s ‘64 Impala convertible, Gary and Samantha Dulude’s ‘64 Impala sport sedan, George and Devona Stebbins’ ‘64 Impala SS, Jack Donovan’s ‘65 Impala convertible, Vic Zaverella’s ‘65 Impala SS, Dan and Patricia DeSantis’ ‘66 Impala SS, Bob Kohler’s ‘67 Impala sport coupe, and Mike and Felicia Peters’ ‘67 Impala sport coupe. Other members who came out to support the club were Wayne and Laura Bosworth, Kevin and Marty Byrnes, Gene Johnson, Bill Noyes, and Ron Trainor. We awarded first and second place trophies in 12 classes based on people’s choice voting.
