Inaugural Cannonball Phoenix Spree
April 30 - May 1, 2010


Stephanie from ECCO, along with WillItMakeIt.com put together this terrific event!
The event was to benefit Operation Homefront AZ U.S. troops and their familes.

Kevin Byrnes and Don Peebles drove in the Byrnes' 1966 Impala convertible,
while Dave Poore and his friend David drove the Poore high-mileage1972 Impala.



Several Arizona Impalas members showed up at the welcome reception.










Chris had a blow out on the way to the event.





Dave's car was fully decorated for the occasion!













As if that wasn't enough,
Dave himself was decorated, too!











   



At the awards reception



Dave took home three People's Choice awards, largely
for his fearless impersonation of a hippie from the 60's!
Here he is accpeting one of the awards.

The awards were:
"Ya Said They'd Never Make It"
"Most Eccentric Driver"
...and...
"Miss Congeniality"



Dave sure met a lot of new friends along the way!











Local rock band Category 5 was nice enough to let Dave sit in on the
drums for the classic song, "White Room" by the 60's band, Cream.
